Players, who need assistance with their visas are asked to sent scanned copy of the passport before April 29, 2012 in order that the Bulgarian Chess Federation can help through Visa Invitation.
Impportant: The Schengen visa is valid for Bulgaria.
Tournament Regulations
1. Organizer: Chess Club Bankya
President of the organizing committee is Prof., Ph. D. Nikolay Nedkov, Vice-president of the Bulgarian Chess Federation; members: Mr. Vladimir Sakotic - Executive Director of the European Chess Union and Mr. Nikolay Velchev - Executive Director of the Bulgarian Chess Federation.
2. Venue and dates:
The tournament shall be held in the European Chess House and hotel Mimoza, Golden Sands resort from June 4th to June 12th 2012.
3. System and rate of play:
The tournament will be organized in 9-round Swiss system. Pairings will be managed with the help of Swiss Manager pairing software.
The rate of play will be 90 min with an increment of 30 seconds per move, starting from move one. No time control on the move 40th!!!
FIDE Laws of Chess are valid in this tournament.
4. Any player who arrives at the chessboard more than 30 minutes after the scheduled start of the round shall lose the game.

8. Appeal’s committee
An appeal against a decision of the Chief Arbiter can be submitted in writing not later than 1 hour after the end of the round. The appeals should be accompanied with a deposit fee of 50 BGN. In case the appeal is accepted the deposit will be returned to the player. In case the appeal is rejected the amount will be in a favour of the Organizers.

9. Medical Care
During the rounds there will be Medical Services according to the FIDE Tournament Regulations.
10. Discipline
- All mobile phones must be in switch off mode in the playing hall. Penalty is lost of the game.
- Smoking is absolutely forbidden in the playing hall.
- Analysing is not allowed in the playing hall.
- Flashes may be used only in the first ten minutes of each round.
- Only players and arbiters shall be allowed to enter the actual playing area, except with the expressed permission of the Chief Arbiter.
- Players are not allowed to enter the closed area of the top boards if they don’t play there themselves.
- As long as the game is in progress a player may talk only to an arbiter or with his opponent as permitted by the Laws of Chess.
We assume that all the players have read the Tournament Regulations and are obliged to obey them.
